CONTINENTAL — Continental rode the pitching of Blake Elkins Friday evening to an 11-0, five inning, Putnam County League win over Fort Jennings.

Ft. Jennings was the home team for the game despite the game being played in Continental because of wet field conditions for the Musketeers.

Elkins (2-1) tossed a three hit shutout for the Pirates as he struck out two and didn't walk a batter.

Continental had a 2-0 lead before scoring nine times in the fifth inning.

Nick States had four hits and drove in three runs for the Pirates (2-4, 6-11) and Elkins had three hits and three RBIs. Cole Bowers had a double and two RBIs.

Aaron Kloeppel took the loss for the Musketeers (2-4, 9-12).

Brad Eickholt, Evan Hoersten and Kyle Norbeck had hits for Ft. Jennings.

Ottawa-Glandorf 7

Kenton 5

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf scored single runs in three straight innings to claim a 7-5 Western Buckeye League win from Kenton.

With the game tied 4-4 after three innings, the Titans scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. The Wildcats scored a run in the seventh inning for the final score.

Jacob Balbaugh (3-4) picked up the win for O-G (3-6, 8-11).

Grant Hovest and Cory Warnecke both had a pair of singles for the Titans.

Columbus Grove 4

Delphos Jefferson 1

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove scored three times in the fourth inning to claim a 4-1 Northwest Conference win from Delphos Jefferson Friday.

The game was the conclusion of their contest started back on April 25, which was stopped in the bottom of the second.

Jefferson tied the game in the top of the fourth with a run before the Bulldogs responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning for the win.

Alex Schneider picked up the win for Grove (5-2, 12-6) as he went the distance. He struck out six and walked three.

Brady Rudasill had a pair of hits for Grove in the win and Nick Woods had an RBI single and walked once.

Josh Wiseman and Jacob Simmons both had a hit for the Wildcats (4-4, 12-12).

Wayne Trace 4

Miller City 3

HAVILAND — Wayne Trace scored a run in the fifth inning Friday to defeat Miller City 4-3 in non-league action.

The contest was tied 3-3 after three innings before the Raiders scored in the fifth inning.

Haydn Gillett picked up the win as he went five innings. Braden Zuber and Trevor Speice both  had two singles and an RBI for Wayne Trace and Korbin Slade had a single and an RBI.

Tyler Long took the loss for the Wildcats as he also worked five innings.

Eli Ellerbrock had two singles for the Wildcats, while Cole Niese, Chase Kuhlman and Nick Gable all had a single.
