CONVOY — Crestview scored single runs in two different innings Thursday to slip by Miller City 2-0 in a Division IV sectional final contest.

In a game between the fourth seeded Knights and the fifth seeded Wildcats, Crestview managed to score a run in the third inning and an insurance run in the sixth inning for the win.

Kali Small pitched the shutout for the Knights as she allowed two hits with 16 strikeouts and a walk.

Bailey Gregory and Hannah Binnon both had a hit and RBI. Avery McCoy and Codi Miller had doubles for the Knights.

Kylie Berner took the loss for the Wildcats as she allowed two runs, one earned, on seven hits with three strikeouts.

Berner and Abby Niese both had a double for the Wildcats.

Lincolnview 17

Columbus Grove 9

MIDDLE POINT - Lincolnview survived a big inning by Columbus Grove to claim a 17-9 Division IV sectional final win Thursday.

The Lancers had a 10-1 lead after two innings before the Bulldogs scored eight times in the third inning to make it a 10-9 game. Those were the final runs Lincolnview gave up before scoring six times in the fifth inning to regain control of the game.

Winter Boroff picked up the win for the Lancers in relief.

Carly Wendel had two hits and three RBIS, while Boroff,Andi Webb and Annie Mendenhall all had a hit and three RBIs.

Emily Watt took the loss for the Bulldogs.

Watt had two hits and drove in three runs for Columbus Grove.  Jenna Hardeman and Joy Stechschulte both had two hits and Cheyenne Mershman had a double.

Bluffton 1

Leipsic 0

BLUFFTON - Bluffton and Leipsic were suspended in the third inning by rain Thursday of their Division IV sectional final contest.

The game will resume Friday at 5 p.m. at the Bluffton Park. The Pirates took the lead in the first inning and had two runners on base when the game was suspended by heavy rains.
