FORT JENNINGS — Fort Jennings grabbed a quick lead Friday night in handing Ayersville a 52-39 non-league setback at The Fort.

Behind seven first quarter points from Cole Horstman and six from Ian Finn, two three-pointers, the Musketeers jumped out to a 22-12 lead. Ft. Jennings added to its lead in the second quarter with a 16-10 scoring margin as Horstman scored another six points.

Ayersville pulled within one point of the Musketeers after three quarters outscoring the home team 16-1. Ft. Jennings regrouped and outscored the Pilots 13-5 in the final quarter for the win.

Horstman led the Musketeers with 18 points, while Finn and Brandon Wehri both had 11 points.

Kyle Nicely had 15 points to lead the Pilots and Ethan Schlachter finished with 13 points.

Lincolnview 69

Columbus Grove 66

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove rallied from a first quarter deficit Friday night, only to fall to Lincolnview 69-66 in overtime of their Northwest Conference matchup.

The Bulldogs had their work cut out for them as they trailed 20-10 after the opening quarter. Columbus Grove battled back and used a 13-11 fourth quarter scoring advantage to send the game into overtime.

In the extra period, the Lancers used a 10-7 scoring advantage for the win.

Caden Rindwald led the Lancers (5-1) with 24 points, 13 of them coming at the free throw line, and Chayten Overholt had 15 points.

The Lancers were 18-of-19 at the free throw line, while the Bulldogs were 12-of-27.

Blake Reynolds led the Bulldogs (2-5) with a game high 26 points and Caleb Barrientes added 13 points.

Leipsic 66

Riverdale 57

LEIPSIC — Leipsic picked up their first Blanchard Valley Conference win of the season Friday evening with a 66-57 win over Riverdale.

A 13-11 run by the Vikings had them in the lead after one quarter and they maintained that two-point lead at halftime. Leipsic started to pull away in the third quarter with a 22-17 scoring edge before closing the game with a 16-14 fourth quarter scoring margin.

Cole Rieman hit 12-of-16 field goal attempts in the game as he scored 25 points along with three assists for the Vikings (1-2, 2-4). Alec Schroeder added 14 points with seven rebounds and three assists and Tyler Hiegel had 13 points, four steals and five rebounds. Tyler Gillespie led the Vikings with nine rebounds.

Sophomore Brock Davis led the Falcons (0-3, 0-7) with a game high 30 points as he hit 7-of-9 three-pointers. Alec Lovrifgr added 15 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Leipsic won the junior varsity game 56-28.

Kalida 60

Upper Scioto Valley 46

KALIDA — Kalida grabbed the early lead in handing non-league foe Upper Scioto Valley a 60-46 loss Friday night.

The Wildcats put the Rams in an early hole outscoring them 27-10 in the first quarter. In a very low scoring second quarter, the Rams outscored Kalida 3-1.

Kalida rebounded in the third quarter to post a 14-9 scoring margin before USV closed the game with a 24-18 scoring margin for the final score.

Josh Klausing led the Wildcats with a game high 23 points and Trevor Lambert added 19 points and eight rebounds. Owen Recker had seven points and six rebounds for Kalida.

Dylan Thompson led the Rams with 14 points and Quinn Sanders chipped in 13 points. Brady Hipsher pulled down four rebounds and had four assists.

WayneTrace 83

Miller City 67

HAVILAND — Wayne Trace nearly doubled up Miller City in the third quarter Friday on their way to an 83-67 non-league win over the Wildcats.

The Raiders had a 40-31 halftime lead before going on a 23-12 run in the third quarter to take a 20 point lead. Miller City outscored Wayne Trace 24-20 in the final quarter.

Wayne Trace had a 23-15 lead after eight minutes of play.

Eli Sinn led the Raiders (5-1) with 18 points and six rebounds, while Josh Kuhn and Adam Stoller both had 14 points. Josiah Linder finished with 10 points and six rebounds.

Mark Kuhlman paced the Wildcats (4-3) with a game high 26 points and 10 rebounds. Mitch Gable added 20 points and had five assists.

Miller City won the junior varsity game 39-31.

Pandora-Gilboa 60

Hopewell-Loudon 38

PANDORA — Pandora-Gilboa remained undefeated Friday night with a 60-38 Blanchard Valley Conference win over Hopewell-Loudon.

The Rockets are 3-0 in the BVC and 6-0 overall.

Jared Breece led four P-G players in double digits with 15 points.

Ottoville 61

OTTOVILLE — Ottoville suffered their first loss of the season Friday night falling to Elida 66-61 in non-league action at the L. W. Heckman Gymnasium.

The Big Green had a 10 point halftime lead before the Bulldogs rallied in the second half for the win.
