HEBRON — Columbus Grove senior Alyssa Ellerbrock capped off her excellent high school cross country career Saturday earning first team all-Ohio honors.

Competing at the Division III state tournament Ellerbrock finished eighth to help the Lady Bulldogs to an 11th place finish as a team. Columbus Grove finished 11th in the team standings with a score of 285, three points behind tenth place Maplewood. Minster won their fourth straight girls Division III state title with 79 points as West Liberty-Salem was second with 89 points.

Ellerbrock, a senior, had a strong run Saturday running the course at National Trail Raceway in 18:53.4 to finish eighth and earn first team all-Ohio honors. The last two seasons Ellerbrock had earned second team all-Ohio honors for her finishes.

Addie Engel, Springfield Central Catholic, won the girls Division III state individual title with a time of 17:47.

Junior Erin Downing was the second Bulldog runner to cross the line as she was 88th in 20:52.6, while senior Leanndra Price was 105th in 21:17.9, freshman Ellie Keehn was 116th in 21:34.4 and Sydney Wittebord rounded out the top five for Grove with a 131st place finish in 22:05.6.

Addison Schafer finished 143rd in 22:21.8 and Zoe Stechschulte was 150th in 22:44.3.
