LEIPSIC - Kalida jumped out to an early lead Saturday on their way to a 42-26 Putnam County League win over Leipsic.

The win moves the Ladycats to 6-0 in the PCL and gives them at least a share of the PCL title. The Ladycats can claim an outright title Thursday night as they host Continental.

Kalida jumped out to a 15-7 first quarter lead and were up 23-13 at halftime. The Vikings were able to get within six points of Kalida in the second half, but were unable to get any closer.

Abby Wurth paced Kalida with 20 points and nine rebounds and Grace Klausing had eight points and six rebounds. Lauren Langhals grabbed six rebounds for the Ladycats with three assists and two steals.

Peyton Henry had 12 points, four rebounds and five steals.

Kalida won the junior varsity game.

Columbus Grove 46

Arlington 37

COLUMBUS GROVE - Columbus Grove outscored Arlington in the second half Saturday to claim a 46-37 non-league win.

The Bulldogs had a 24-23 halftime lead before outscoring the Red Devils 22-24 in the second half. Columbus Grove built on their halftime lead with a 13-9 third quarter scoring advantage.

Rylee Sybert paced the Bulldogs (14-5) with 13 points and six rebounds. Kenzie King added nine points and Angel Schneider grabbed six rebounds.

Hannah Willow had 15 points for the Red Devils 16-4).

Arlington won the junior varsity game 22-13.

Patrick Henry 46

Continental 18

CONTINENTAL - Patrick Henry jumped out to a quick lead in handing Continental a 46-16 non-league setback.

The Patriots had an 18-3 lead after one quarter and were up 28-7 at halftime.

Kerri Prowant had five points for the Pirates.

Patrick Henry won the two quarter junior varsity game 18-11.
