PANDORA — Kalida used a solid first quarter Saturday to defeat Pandora-Gilboa 62-26 in Putnam County League action.

The Ladycats moved to 5-0 in the PCL with the win. Kalida still has Leipsic (Feb. 9) and Continental (Feb. 14) left to play in the PCL.

Kalida took control of the game early outscoring the Rockets 19-4 in the first quarter. They added to their lead in the second quarter with a 16-4 second quarter scoring run.

Abby Wurth led three Ladycat players in double digits with 16 points, while Lauren Langhals had 12 points and McKayla Maag had 11 points. Langhals added six assists,six steals and two blocks. Grace Klausing pulled in seven rebounds for Kalida.

Becca Luttfring had eight points to lead the Rockets.

Ottawa-Glandorf 51

Defiance 27

DEFIANCE - Ottawa-Glandorf jumped out to a quick lead Saturday afternoon in defeating Defiance 51-27 in Western Buckeye League action.

The fifth ranked Titans moved to 7-0 in the WBL and 17-1 overall. The Bulldogs dropped to 4-3 in the league and 5-12 overall. The Titans host Kenton this Thursday and are Wapakoneta on Feb. 14.

Ottawa-Glandorf had a 21-4 lead on the Bulldogs after eight minutes as they used a 21-2 scoring run to close the first quarter after Defiance scored the first points of the game. O-G still had a 17 point lead at halftime as both teams scored five points in the second quarter.

O-G broke the game open in the third quarter with a 20-5 scoring run.

Senior Erin Kaufman and freshman Erin Kaufman both had 12 points to lead the Titans.

Miller City 43

Wayne Trace 40

HAVILAND - Miller City used a big fourth quarter Saturday afternoon to defeat Wayne Trace 43-40 in non-league action.

The Raiders had a 34-27 lead going to the fourth quarter after outscoring the Wildcats 12-6 in the third quarter. Miller City finished the game with a 16-6 scoring run for the win.

Natalie Koenig led the Wildcats (8-11) with a game high 22 points. Kylie Berner added 12 points with five rebounds and Abi Lammers grabbed five rebounds and had three steals. Adrienne Kuhlman had four assists for the WIldcats.

Claire Sinn led the Raiders with 21 points.

Ottoville 52

Leipsic 20

OTTOVILLE - Ottoville scored nearly as many points in the second quarter as Leipsic did for in an entire game in claiming a 53-20 Putnam County League win.

Leipsic had a 7-5 lead after the opening quarter before the Big Green outscored them 19-2 in the second quarter for a 24-7 halftime lead. Ottoville added to their lead with a 16-9 third quarter scoring advantage before finishing the game with a 13-2 fourth quarter scoring margin.

Nicole Knippen led the Big Green with 16 points as she hit three three-pointers and Quinley Schlagbaum added 13 points as she hit three three-pointers.

Liz Scheckelhoff and Claire Rigel both had six points for the Vikings.
