DELPHOS - Columbus Grove jumped out to a quick lead Saturday afternoon in picking up a 53-28 Northwest Conference win over Delphos Jefferson.

The win gives the Bulldogs the NWC crown as they moved to 7-0 in the conference and 16-3 overall. The conference title is the Bulldogs fifth straight,outright or shared. Jefferson dropped to 4-3 in the conference and 8-11 overall. The Bulldogs host Allen East in their final NWC game of the season Thursday.

Columbus Grove jumped out to a 19-7 first quarter lead and were up 30-10 at halftime after an 11-3 second quarter scoring run.

Kenzie King hit four three-pointers as she finished with a game high 21 points and Abby Gladwell had 11 points and four assists. Angel Schneider pulled down seven rebounds and Erin Downing had four steals.

Columbus Grove won the junior varsity game 48-20.

Kalida 41

Leipsic 23

KALIDA - Kalida shut down Leipsic's offense Saturday in picking up a 41-23 Putnam County League win.

The Ladycats had a 10-5 lead after the first quarter and were up 19-14 at halftime. Kalida outscored the Vikings 22-9 in the second half as they finished the game with a 10-3 fourth quarter scoring margin.

Garce Klausing led Kalida with nine points, eight rebounds, three steals and two steals. McKayla Maag and Carlie Rampe both had eight points for the Ladycats.

Whitney Langhals had eight points for Leipsic and Liz Scheckelhoff had six rebounds.

Bluffron 53

Miller City 49

BLUFFTON - Bluffton outscored Miller City in the fourth quarter Saturday to claim a 53-49 non-league win.

The Wildcats had a 43-33 lead going to the final quarter before the Pirates outscored them 20-6 for the win. Kayla White scored eight points for Bluffton in the final quarter and Haelyn Bischoff added five points. Miller City went 4-of-10 at the free throw in the final quarter as they hit just one field goal.

White had 15 points for the Pirates in the game and Libby Schaadt finished with 10 points.

Natalie Koenig had 16 points for the Wildcats and Abi Lammers finished with 11.

Delphos St. John's 53

Ottoville 46

OTTOVILLE - Delphos St. John's held Ottoville to 12 first half points in a 53-46 non-league win Saturday night.

The Blue Jays had a 9-5 lead after the opening quarter and were up 24-12 at halftime. Ottoville outscored St. John's 34-29 in the second half as they finished the game with a 21-17 fourth quarter scoring run.

Nicole Knippen paced the Big Green with 19 points and Alexa Honigford had 11 points.
