OTTAWA — It wasn't the start Ottawa-Glandorf was looking for on Senior Night.

Kenton shocked the Lady Titans early hitting five three-pointers in the first quarter for a nine point lead after eight minutes. As the Titans defensive pressure started to take its toll on the Wildcats, O-G rallied for a halftime lead, then continued their fine play in the third quarter as they rallied for a 73-46 Western Buckeye League.

The win moved the Titans to 8-0 in the league and gave the fifth ranked Titans at-least a share of their fourth straight WBL title. O-G is now 18-1 overall. The Titans close out league play next Thursday at Wapakoneta, who is 7-1 in the WBL.

Kenton had the upper hand on O-G early as they scored the first seven points of the game on their way to a 23-14 lead after eight minutes. Jenna Manns hit three three-pointers in the opening quarter for the Wildcats.

Ottawa-Glandorf turned the game around in the second quarter behind their defense as they rallied for a 29-28 halftime lead. The Titans broke the game open in the third quarter as they outscored the Wildcat 30-6 for a 59-34 lead going to the final quarter.

Senior Erin Kaufman paced the Titans with a career high 30 points as she hit five three-pointers. Kelsey Erford had a solid game with 12 points, seven rebounds and seven steals. Freshman Erin Kaufman scored 10 points and Brianna Schimmoeller dished out nine assists.

Manns led the Wildcats with 17 points, as she hit five three's, and had five assists. Sid Plott added 12 points.

The Wildcats had 32 turnovers in the game, while O-G had just seven.

Ottawa-Glandorf won the junior varsity game 32-22.

Columbus Grove 50

Allen East 38

HARROD — Columbus Grove got off to a good start as they topped Allen East 50-38 in Northwest Conference action Thursday night.

The Lady Bulldogs remained in the thick of the NWC race as they are 5-1 ad 13-5 overall. Spencerville and Bluffton lead the NWC race with 6-1 records. Columbus Grove still has Delphos Jefferson (Tues) and Ada (Thurs) as they look for at-least a share of the title.

Columbus Grove jumped out to a 17-11 first quarter lead and were up 36-18 at the break with a 19-7 second quarter scoring margin. Allen East outscored the Bulldogs 20-14 in the second half for the final score.

Rylee Sybert paced the Bulldogs with 17 points, five rebounds and five assists. Angel Schneider had 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Amy Vorst and Abby Gladwell both had four assists for the Bulldogs.

Ally Richardson had 10 points for the Mustangs (4-3, 12-6) and Tori Newland added nine points.

Columbus Grove won the junior varsity game 35-5.

Leipsic 40

Van Buren 35

LEIPSIC — Leipsic jumped out to an early lead on their way to a 40-35 Blanchard Valley Conference win Thursday night.

The Lady Vikings were up 14-8 after one quarter and had a 22-17 halftime lead after the Black Knights outscored them 9-8 in the second quarter. After the Black Knights copped two more points off the Leipsic lead in the third quarter, the Vikings finished the game with a 9-7 fourth quarter scoring edge.

Peyton Henry paced the Vikings (14-6) with 17 points and Liz Scheckelhoff added 13 points. Claire Rigel pulled down 13 rebounds for Leipsic and had three assists.

Mady Parker paced Van Buren with 13 points and eight rebounds.

Arcadia 66

Pandora-Gilboa 24

PANDORA — Arcadia turned in a good defensive effort Thursday night in a 66-24 Blanchard Valley Conference win over Pandora-Gilboa.

The Redskins held the Rockets to single digit scoring in every quarter, while forcing 24 turnovers.

Arcadia had a 19-6 lead after one quarter and were up 33-13 at the break.

Regan Russell led the Rockets with 11 points and Lacie Fenstermaker had six points along with eight rebounds.
