OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf placed five players in double digits Tuesday night as the Lady Titans rolled past Tinora 76-45 in non-league action.

Erin Kaufman led the Titans (2-0) with 15 points, while Kelsey Erford had 13 points followed by Kasey Ellerbrock and Erin Kaufman both had 11 points. Brianna Schimmoeller finished with 10 points and Paige Sutter chipped in eight points.

O-G had a 19-11 lead after the first quarter and were up 41-21 at halftime. The Lady Titans put the game out of reach in the third quarter with a 27-12 scoring run.

Taylor Brown and Tristen Ackerman both had 13 points for the Rams (0-1).

Tinora turned the ball over 31 times in the game to 15 for O-G.

O-G won the junior varsity contest 34-22.

Columbus Grove 57

Shawnee 34

COLUMBUS GROVE — Columbus Grove turned up the defensive pressure in the second half Tuesday night as the Bulldogs opened the season with a 57-34 win over Shawnee.

The Lady Bulldogs had a slim 26-25 halftime lead before holding the Indians to nine points in the second half. Columbus Grove outscored Shawnee 16-5 in the third quarter before finishing the game with a 15-4 scoring run.

Columbus Grove's defense forced 30 turnovers in the game.

Rylee Sybert paced the Bulldog (1-0) attack with 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals and Abby Galdwell had 13 points and six steals. Kenzie king added 10 points and had seven assists for grove.

Eliyana Floyd had 12 points to lead the Indians (0-2).

Columbus Grove won the junior varsity game 24-13.

Kalida 43

St. Marys 36

ST. MARYS — Kalida overcame a halftime deficit Tuesday night to defeat St. Marys in non-league action 43-36.

The Ladycats trailed 19-14 at the break before outscoring the Roughriders 20-12 in the third quarter for a lead they wouldn't lose. Kalida finished the game with a 9-5 fourth quarter scoring advantage to complete the win.

Sophomore Grace Klausing led the Kalida (1-1) attack with 14 points, six rebounds and seven steals and Abby Wurth added 12 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Elena Meeker led the Roughriders with 11 points and Kendall Dieringer added 10 points. Lauren Cisco grabbed four rebounds for the Lady Riders.

St. Marys won the junior varsity game 37-25.

Liberty-Benton 75

Miller City 25

FINDLAY — Liberty-Benton jumped out to a quick lead as the Eagles defeated Miller City 75-25 in the season opener for both teams Tuesday night.

The Eagles had a 24-7 lead after eight minutes and were up 43-11 at halftime after a 19-4 run in the second quarter.

Liberty-Benton's defense was solid Tuesday as they forced 25 Wildcat turnovers, compared to just six for the Eagles.

Natalie Koenig had 15 points to lead Miller City (0-1) and Abi Lammers grabbed six rebounds. The Wildcats took just 24 shots in the game.
