VAN BUREN — Miller City outscored Van Buren in the second half Tuesday night to record a 59-52 non-league girls basketball win.

The Wildcats trailed 30-27 at halftime before outscoring the Black Knights 32-22 in the second half. Miller City started its comeback with a 15-10 third quarter scoring margin.

Natalie Koenig had 14 points for the Wildcats (11-7) as she went over the 1,000 point mark in her career. Koenig accomplished the feat in the second quarter as she needed just seven points to reach 1,000 points.

Abi Lammers led Miller City with a game high 26 points and she pulled down 11 rebounds with four steals.

Leipsic 44

Antwerp 42

LEIPSIC - Leipsic used a fourth quarter rally Tuesday night to defeat Antwerp 44-42 in non-league action.

The Archers had a 34-30 lead going to the fourth quarter before the Vikings outscored them 14-8 in the fourth quarter. Freshman Marissa Hermiller scored the winning basket for Leipsic just before time expired. Leipsic had a 42-39 lead in the final quarter before Tiera Gomez hit a three-pointer for Antwerp to tie the game.

Liz Scheckelhoff had 11 points and six rebounds to lead the Vikings. Whitney Langhals added nine points.

Karsyn Brumett and Asti Coppes both had 12 points for the Archers.

Wayne Trace 60

Continental 53

CONTINENTAL - Wayne Trace overcame an early Continental lead Tuesday night to record a 60-53 non-league win.

The Pirates had a 22-15 lead after the opening quarter before the Raiders started their comeback with a 15-13 second quarter scoring advantage. A 24-11 run in the third quarter gave them the lead for good.

Claire Sinn had 17 points for the Raiders and Miriam Sinn had 16 points.

Kerri Prowant led the Pirates (10-10) with a game high 19 points and Catelyn Etter added 13. Alex Hoeffel finished with 12 points for Continental.
