ELIDA — Ottawa-Glandorf achieved their first goal of the season by winning the Western Buckeye League championship Thursday evening.

With a share of the league crown already theirs, the Lady Titans got off to a good start, then fought off Elida challenges in the second and third set to claim a 25-8, 25-15, 25-17 win.

O-G, the top ranked team in Division III, repeats as WBL champions finishing 9-0 in league play as they won their sixth title in seven seasons. The Titans are 20-1 overall with Columbus Grove up next Saturday morning.

Serving was a key to the Titans win over the Bulldogs as Maddie White served up five aces as did Taylor Alt, who added 11 kills and 14 digs. Erica Annesser added three aces and had 11 kills. Bri Schimmoeller handed out 16 assists, while Kendra Ellerbrock had 15 assists and Claire Eiden had 17 digs.

O-G won the junior varsity match 25-22, 25-17 and they won the freshman match in two sets.

LEIPSIC — Leipsic finished the regular season Thursday night with a 25-19, 25-15, 25-21 non-league win over Crestview.

The fourth ranked Vikings finish the regular season at 20-2.

Hayley Heitmeyer served up three aces for the Vikings on 14-of-15 serving along with 13 kills on 27-of-28 hitting with four blocks and Carlee Siefker had 11 kills on 19-of-23 hitting with four blocks and she was 8-of-8 serving with seven digs.

Brooke Brown was 10-of-10 serving with 11 digs and Selena Loredo was 17-of-18 serving with two aces and had 16 assists on 33-of-33 setting. Lyndie Hazelton was 12-of-13 serving and had 11 assists on 45-of-45 setting. Kacey Dulle had 13 digs in the win.

CONTINENTAL — Ottoville overcame a first set loss Thursday evening to claim a 23-35, 25-16, 25-16, 25-20 win over Continental in Putnam County League action.

Brynlee Hanneman had 25 kills and six blocks for the Big Green along with 25 digs, while Quinley Schlagbaum had 16 kills, three blocks, five aces and 30 digs. Rachel Kemper had seven kills, two blocks and five digs and Taylor Beining had five kills, six blocks and 5 digs.

Kylee Hoersten handed out 56 assists and had 22 digs for Ottoville.

Continental won the junior varsity game 18-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Liberty Center 2

MILLER CITY — Miller City rallied from a 2-1 deficit Thursday night to defeat Liberty Center 25-14, 23-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-13 in non-league action.

Brittany Kuhlman had 35 assists for the Wildcats (13-8) along with two aces and 23 digs and Cayla Troyer had 21 digs.

Kylie Berner and Abi Lammers both had 13 kills and Abi Teders had seven kills for the Wildcats.

Miller City won the junior varsity match 25-21, 26-24.

PANDORA — Kalida picked up a Putnam County League win Thursday evening with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-22 win over Pandora-Gilboa.
