CELINA — For the second straight week, an Ottawa-Glandorf football opponent had a chance to score late to pull out a possible win.

After Celina scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs decided to go for two points and the win. However, their two-point attempt failed and when the Titans recovered the onside kick, O-G had survived Celina's fourth quarter rally for a 24-23 win. The Titans moved to 5-0 in the WBL and 5-1 overall with the win.

Just last week it was Van Wert that had a chance to defeat the Titans late only to see a field goal miss as time expired.

Ottawa-Glandorf had a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter and the momentum on their side after Clayton Recker scored on a 27 yard run with 11:16 left.

However, the Bulldogs didn't back down as Ethan Dirksen kicked a 30 yard field goal with 5:29 left and after a defensive stop by Celina, their offense got the ball back at their own 10 yard line. The Bulldogs proceeded to march down the field as they put together a 13 play drive that ended with Cooper Jones finding Quinn Andrew with a three yard scoring pass with 27 seconds left.

With no hesitation, the Bulldogs decided to go for two points and the win. After both teams used a timeout to set up their alignment a pass for Brandon Staugler was just out of his reach in the right corner of the endzone leaving the Titans with a 24-23 lead.

On the ensuing kickoff, the Titans were able to recover an onside attempt to seal the win.

Ottawa-Glandorf took the lead with 6:45 left in the first quarter as Jarrod Beach scored on a two yard run. Celina answered back with 14 straight points as Jaxson Silliman scored on a four yard run early in the second quarter, then later added a three yard scoring run as the Bulldogs had a 14-7 lead. Both of the Bulldog touchdowns were set up by O-G turnovers.

The Titans pulled within 14-10 with 25 seconds left in the half when Ethan Alt kicked a 29 yard field goal.

The Titans added a score with 1:10 left in the third quarter when quarterback Jacob Balbaugh found Will Kaufman with a six yard scoring pass on a third down play.

Balbaugh was 6-of-10 passing in the game for 125 yards as Brennan Blevins caught two passes for 95 yards, Recker rushed for 163 yards on 19 carries in the game.

Jones was 20-of-36 passing for Celina in the game for 167 yards as Max Thobe caught eight passes for 70 yards. Silliman rushed for 95 yards and Jones rushed for 90 yards.
