OTTAWA - After a bye week in the Division IV, Region 18 playoffs, Ottawa-Glandorf coach Ken Schriner didn't know how his team would come out Saturday night.

It only took him about 12 seconds to find out.

Ottawa-Glandorf returned the opening kickoff for a score and never looked back in racing past Orrville 62-0 at Titan Stadium.

The win sends the third seeded Titans (6-1) to the Division V, Region 18 regional quarterfinals next Saturday at home against West Salem Northwestern, the sixth seed, at 7 p.m. West Salem Northwestern advanced with a win over Lima Bath Saturday night.

It had been two weeks since the Titans played a game as they had an opening week bye in the playoffs. Senior receiver Brennan Blevins got the Titans rolling when he took the opening kickoff and raced 88 yards for a touchdown 12 seconds into the game. With the extra point, O-G had a 7-0 lead and that was just the beginning as the Titans would score three more times in the opening quarter.

While the Titans were building a lead, the Titans defense never let Orrville get into a rhythm on offense. Orrville lost a pair of fumbles in the opening quarter and were only able to get one first down against an aggressive O-G defense. For the game Orrville finished with just 39 yards of offense for the game and turned the ball over five times.

The two first quarter fumbles led to two scores for O-G as Ian Fenbert capped off the Titans first offensive drive with a one yard scoring run after the first turnover. After a punt on Orrville's next possession, the Titans needed just one play to score as Jacob Balbaugh hit Blevins with a pass over the middle that he turned into a 63 yard scoringf play. Later in the quarter, Balbaugh hit Caleb Kuhlman with a 12 yard scoring pass after the defense came up with another Orrville turnover.

Ottawa-Glandorf continued to build its lead in the second quarter as Schnipke added a six yard scoring run and Ian Fenbert added a one yard run as the O-G lead grew to 42-0 with 3:16 left in the second quarter.

The Titans defense came up big in the third quarter with three turnovers that turned into points.

Trevor Cantrell added to the lead when he returned an interception for a score. One play after the kickoff, Cy Rump picked off a pass returning it for a score. On Orrville's next drive they fumbled with the Titans recovering. O-G scored after the turnover when Landen Jordan hit Caleb Kuhlman with a 38 yard scoring pass.

Ottawa-Glandorf finished with 306 yards of offense as Balbaugh was 6-of-8 passing for 151 yards as Blevins had a catch for 63 yards and Kuhlman two for 50 yards. Schnipke rushed for 106 yards in the game on 15 carries.
