OTTOVILLE - Ottoville girls basketball coach Dave Kleman reached a milestone Saturday night against Delphos St. John's.

The Lady Green's 60-20 non-league win over the Blue Jays was the 500th career win for the Ottoville coach. Kleman is in his 26th season as coach of the Big Green. Ottoville, the second ranked team in DIvision IV, is now 20-1 on the season.

Ottoville took control of this game early outscoring the Blue Jays 15-5 in the opening quarter. They were up 37-11 at halftime.

Bridget Landin paced the Big Green with a game high 19 points. Abi Hilvers added nine points and Kasey Knippen finished with eight points.

Ottoville also won the junior varsity game.

Kalida 41

Leipsic 29

KALIDA - Kalida jumped out to an early lead Saturday afternoon on their way to a 41-29 Putnam County League win over Leipsic.

The Wildcats moved to 5-1 in the PCL and 14-7 overall, while Leipsic is 5-2 in the PCL and 18-3 overall.

Kalida had an 8-5 lead after one quarter and were up 17-12 at halftime. The Ladycats outscored Leipsic 24-17 in the second half to complete the win.

Taylor Lucke paced the Ladycats with 11 points and Sarah Klausing had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Heather Lammers paced the Vikings with nine points.

Kalida also won the junior varsity game.

Columbus Grove 50

Arlington 32

ARLINGTON - Columbus Grove held Arlington to 10 points in the second half Saturday on their way to a 50-32 non-league win.

The Bulldogs had a 27-22 halftime lead before outscoring the Red Devils 23-10 in the second half. Columbus Grove used a 13-6 run in the third quarter to stretch their lead.

Carlee McCluer paced the Bulldogs (12-8) with 17 points, as she hit three three-pointers. Teyah Sautter, with two three-pointers, had eight points and Rylee Sybert had eight points and five assists. Angel Schneider grabbed seven rebounds for Grove.

Columbus Grove won the junior varsity game 26-15.

Bluffton 71

Miller City 44

BLUFFTON - Bluffton placed four players in double digits Saturday on their way to a 71-44 non-league win over Miller City.

Alivia Koenig paced the Pirates with 16 points and Avery Rumer had 14 points. Katie Prater added 13 points and Libby Schaadt had 10 points.

Bluffton had an 18-8 lead after one quarter and were up 45-19 at halftime after a 27-11 run in the second quarter.

Natalie Koenig and Kylie Berner both had 12 points for the Wildcats (8-12) and Abby Niese added 10 points. Koenig grabbed seven rebounds for the Wildcats.
