OTTOVILLE - Minster hit the final shot of the first half to end an Ottoville rally.

The WIldcats then denied any attempt of a Big Green comeback in the third quarter by shutting them out offensively. The shot and the third quarter helped Minster to a 46-28 non-league win in a battle of state ranked teams at the L.W. Heckman Gymnasium Monday night. The game was a rematch of last years Division IV state championship game, won by Minster.

The second ranked Wildcats moved to 18-1 on the season, while the Big Green, ranked tenth, slipped to 17-3 on the season.

Minster had a 15 point lead in the second quarter, 27-12, before Ottoville rallied to pull within seven points at 27-20. A Demaris Wolf three-pointer just before the buzzer gave the Wildcats a 10 point lead going into the half. The Wildcats then put the game away in the third quarter with a 9-0 scoring run. Ivy Wolf had seven points for the Wildcats in the quarter.

Jessica Falk led the Wildcats with 15 points, all in the first half, as she hit three three-pointers. Wolf added 12 points and Courtney Prenger finished with nine points.

Kasey Knippen led the Big Green and all scorers with 18 points.

Minster won the junior varsity game 17-13 in overtime. The game was tied 13-13 after two quarters.

Continental 40

CONTINENTAL - Leipsic used a strong third quarter Monday evening on their way to a 51-40 Putnam County League win.

After the two teams played to a 21-21 halftime deadlock, the Vikings took control of the game in the third quarter with a 16-9 scoring run. Leipsic finished off the win with a 14-10 fourth quarter scoring advantage.

Peyton Henry paced the Vikings with a game high 19 points and Claire Rigel had 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to complete a double-double.Liz Scheckelhoff had eight points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Kerri Prowant paced the Pirates with 12 points and Mady Sharp added 10 points. Kate Etter grabbed 10 rebounds for the Pirates.

Hopewell-Loudon 63

Pandora-Gilboa 23

PANDORA - Hopewell-Loudon held Pandora-Gilboa to five points in the first half Monday evening on their way to a 63-23 Blanchard Valley Conference win.

The Chieftains had a 37-5 halftime lead after they outscored the Rockets 22-2 in the second quarter.

Makayla Elmore led the Chieftains with 23 points and eight rebounds, while Olivia Zender had 18 points and three assist.

Regan Russell led the Rockets with seven points and Lacie Fenstermaker had four points and seven rebounds.
