OTTOVILLE — Ottoville held off a fourth quarter rally by Van Wert to claim a 65-62 non-league win Friday night.
The Big Green took a 48-39 lead to the final quarter before the Cougars made a run at the win outscoring Ottoville 23-17 to fall three points shy of a complete comeback.
After both teams scored 15 points to start the game, Ottoville had a 28-23 halftime lead, then increased their lead with a 20-16 third quarter scoring advantage.
Sophomore Josh Thorbanhn paced the Big Green with a game high 30 points as he hit four three-pointers and he grabbed nine rebounds. Sophomore Ryan Suever finished with 20 points and five rebounds.
Nate Place led the Cougars with 19 points and Owen Treece finished with 15 points, with three three-pointers, and he grabbed five rebounds.

Arlington 59
Miller City 50

BLUFFTON — Arlington used a big second half Friday night to defeat Miller City 59-50 in the semi-finals of the Bluffton McDonald's Holiday Tournament.
With the loss, the Wildcats will play in the consolation game Saturday at 6 p.m. against Cory-Rawson, while Arlington and Bluffton will tangle in the championship game. The Pirates defeated Cory-Rawson in the second game 65-62 in overtime.
Miller City and Arlington were tied 24-24 at halftime before the Red Devils outscored the Wildcats 16-9 in the third quarter for a 40-33 lead. Arlington finished the game with a 19-17 scoring run.
Ryan Metzger led the Red Devils (6-1) with 16 points, while Ivan Berry had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jaret Vermillion added 10 points.
Luke Lammers led the Wildcats (3-5) with 15 points and four steals, while Nick Gable added 12 points, six rebounds and three steals. Austin Ruhe grabbed six rebounds for Miller City in the game.

Fort Jennings 60
Temple Christian 49

FORT JENNINGS — Fort Jennings jumped out to an early lead in handing Lima Temple Christian a 60-49 non-league setback.
The Musketeers had a 19-13 lead after the first quarter and were up 37-26 at the half after an 18-13 second quarter scoring advantage. Temple Christian was unable to make a serious run at the Musketeers in the second half as both teams scored 23 points.
Ian Ricker paced the Musketeers with 19 points as he hit five three-pointers. Nick Trentman added 11 points and Reese Von Sossan had 10 points.
Brody Bowman led the Pioneers and all scorers with 33 points.

Lincolnview 54
Kalida 51

MIDDLE POINT — Lincolnview outscored Kalida in overtime Friday night to claim a 54-51 non-league win.
Both team scored 42 points in regulation before the Lancers outscored Kalida 12-9 in the extra session. Kalida had a chance to tie the game late, but couldn't get a three-pointer to fall.
Trevor Lambert had 23 points and five rebounds for Kalida and Luke Erhart added eight points and five rebounds.
