LEIPSIC — Pandora-Gilboa held off a fourth quarter rally by Leipsic to claim a 55-48 Putnam County League win Thursday night.

The Rockets had a 36-24 lead going to the final quarter before the Vikings made things interesting with a 24-19 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter.

P-G had a 17-12 halftime lead after a low scoring first half, then expanded their lead with a 19-12 third quarter scoring margin.

Jared Breece paced the Rockets (1-1, 5-3) with 16 points, three assists and three steals, while Austin Miller and Riley Larcom both had 10 points. Austin Niese grabbed 10 rebounds for P-G and Zeb George had seven.

Dylan Schroeder led the Vikings (0-2, 3-4) with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Cole Rieman finished with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Leipsic won the junior varsity game 38-36.

The two teams will square off again next Friday at Pandora-Gilboa for the Blanchard Valley Conference portion of their series.

Perrysburg 71

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf returned to its winning ways Thursday evening as they toppled Perrysburg 89-71 in non-league action.

Coming off their first loss of the season last Saturday, the Titans had a 20-15 lead after the first quarter before taking a 45-32 lead into halftime with a 25-17 second quarter scoring advantage. O-G continued to pull away in the third quarter with a 26-20 scoring margin.

Owen Hiegel and Aaron Rieman led four Titan (6-1) players in double digits with 18 points each. Carter Heringhaus, with three three-pointers, and Ben Westrick both had 13 points. Rieman grabbed six rebounds for the Titans in the game.

Preston Evans led Perrysburg with 20 points and Jackson Sizemore added 14 points. Nic Kilbride finished with 10 points.

O-G won the junior varsity game 58-55.
