CONTINENTAL — Continental used a big second half Friday night to defeat Miller City 57-50 in Putnam County League action.

The Wildcats had a 23-13 halftime lead after they outscored the Pirates 16-6 in the third quarter. Continental pulled within three points at the end of three quarters with a 20-13 scoring advantage.

In the fourth quarter, the Pirates finished off their comeback with a 24-14 scoring advantage. This was the second straight win for the Pirates (2-9).

Addyson Armey paced the Pirates with 21 points as she hit three three-pointers. Catelyn Potts also hit three three-pointers as she finished with 11 points and Alex Hoeffel had one three as she also had 11 points.

Natalie Koenig paced the Wildcats (6-6) with a game high 22 points and she grabbed 12 rebounds. Adrienne Kuhlman hit three three-pointers for Miller City as she had nine points along with four assists. Abi Lammers had eight points and four steals.

Miller City won the two quarter junior varsity game 16-7.
