SYLVANIA — The NWO Artic Wolves sled hockey team will be hosting its fifth annual Fire and Ice charity game ‘Busted’ this Saturday in Sylvania at the Tam-O-Shanter Ice Rink.

The event starts with a sled hockey game between members of the Toledo Fire Department and the Toledo Police Department. The winner of this game will face the NWO Artic Wolves in a game. The event will run from 4 to 6 p.m.

Glandorf eighth grader Alex Schomaeker is a member of the NWO Artic Wolves sled hockey team, which is made up of kids with varying physical disabilities.

There is a $5 admission fee for the event as all proceeds will go to the Arctic Wolves to help pay for ice time, travel and tournament expenses, and purchase equipment. Raffles and a silent auction will be taking place as well and spectators that wish to get on the ice in one of these sleds will have the opportunity to do that for a $1.
