FINDLAY — Ottawa-Glandorf made it interesting.

After falling behind 14 points to Clyde in the Region 14 regional finals Saturday evening, the Titans attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter. That comeback came up just short when the turnover bug bit the Titans again.

Clyde recovered a Titan fumble at the 14 yard line in the final two minutes to preserve a 17-10 win in this Division IV, Region 14 regional final game at a wet and snowy Donnell Stadium. The Titans saw their season end at 9-4, while the Fliers advanced to the Division IV state semi-finals with a 9-4 record to play Cincinnati Wyoming.

Clyde took a 17-3 lead with 7:12 left in the third quarter when Gunner Golden scored on a two yard run. Ottawa-Glandorf cut their deficit to 17-10 with 10:10 left to play when Brennan Blevins caught a 35 yard scoring pass from Jarrod Beach after the Titans recovered a Clyde fumble on a punt. Beach was playing quarterback for the Titans after Jacob Balbaugh left the contest in the third quarter with an injury.

After getting a stop on defense, the Titans were driving as they entered the red zone late in the fourth quarter. The Fliers stopped the 13 play drive when they forced a fumble that was recovered by Remington Morman. The Fliers were able to run the remaining time off the clock to preserve the win.

The Titans were hurt by four turnovers Saturday night and they had six penalties in the game.
