OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning Friday night to defeat Elida 7-6 in Western Buckeye League action.

The Bulldogs had a 5-3 lead after four and a half innings before the Titans scored a run in the bottom of the fifth, then scored three times in the sixth inning to take a 7-5 lead. Trey Nienberg had a two out, two run single to give the Titans the lead. O-G struck out four times in the inning, but saw the inning continue on a passed ball third strike that would have ended the inning.

Elida made things interesting with a one run in the seventh inning.

Jacob Balbaugh picked up the win in relief as he worked the final two innings. He allowed one run on two hits with four strikeouts and he walked two. Jaxon Buddelmeyer pitched the first five innings.

Nienberg had two singles and drove in three runs for the Titans (1-1, 3-3). Ethan Alt had a single and RBI and Grant Hovest drove in a run.

Noah Adcock took the loss for Elida in relief of Brayden Lybarger. Adcock had a double and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs and Lybarger had a single, double and an RBI.

Fort Jennings 7

Arlington 2

ARLINGTON — Fort Jennings used a big fourth inning to defeat Arlington 7-2 in non-league action.

With the game tied 2-2 going to the fourth, the Musketeers scored four times to take the lead for good. Ft. Jennings added an insurance run in the sixth inning.

Zach Schulte (2-0) picked up the win for the Musketeers as he went the distance allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits with two walks.

Aaron Kloeppel had two hits and two RBIs and Kyle Norbeck had three singles. Evan Hoersten finished with two hits and scored a run.

Evan O'Rear took the loss for the Red Devils. O'Rear also had a single in the game.

Kalida 2

Patrick Henry 1

KALIDA — Kalida scored twice in the fourth inning Friday night to defeat Patrick Henry 2-1 in non-league action.

In a pitchers duel, the Wildcats scored two runs in the fourth on a Matt Kehres single. The Patriots scored their lone run in the sixth inning.

Tyler Klausing picked up the win for Kalida as he worked three innings in relief allowing a run on two hits with nine strikeouts. Owen Recker worked the seventh inning for a save as he had two strikeouts.

Ethan Schmenk had a pair of singles for Kalida (3-0) in the win.

Christian Peterson took the loss for Patrick Henry as he worked five innings.

Clayton Feehan and Clay Schwiebert both had a double for Patrick Henry.

Lincolnview 15

Continental 5

CONTINENTAL — Lincolnview scored in six of the seven innings Friday to claim a 15-5 non-league win from Continental.

The only inning the Lancers did not score in was the third inning. Lincolnview had a 4-0 lead after two innings before the Pirates (1-3) scored twice in the third inning. Lincolnview then scored three times in the fourth, twice in the fifth and once in the sixth before unloading for five runs in the seventh inning.

Continental added a run in the fifth inning and scored twice in the seventh inning.
